NatGeo_Adventure Hiking Below the North Rim in the Grand Canyon
National Geographic Adventure, May 2014
A four day backpacking trip turns into three days after we decide to just push it all the way out and end up having a 17-mile, 6,000-vertical-foot river to rim day. Capped off by two glowing eyes of a mountain lion just a few dozen feet from the trail in the night as we recht the rim.

When we do something awesome, we usually want to share it. But the environment where awesome adventures happen is often where the tools used for documentation — cameras, mostly — are susceptible to being damaged.
