The Big City

The Japan I was introduced to is one of vast contrasts. Our trip to Tokyo only helped to confirm these impressions. Within the space of 24 hrs I had seen empty Tokyo streets and crowded, bustling shopping arcades. The homeless sleeping in the subway stations and camped in the parks while nearby the ritzy ‘people-watching’ cafe patrons sipped their caffe lattes.

I’ve compiled a selection of my favorite images from this trip. From the Imperial Palace to the vibrant arcades to impressive shrine ceremonies. Enjoy!
